Rustic Mirror

So this project was super easy and I loved the results too. I used an old mirror but a $10 walmart one would work well too.

1. I started to measure up some pallet wood for the lengths and sides. The long pieces were the same size as my mirror so no cutting required there and the sorter pieces have to be as wide as the mirror plus the side pieces so it depends on your mirror. Also make it so the wood side pieces overlap the mirror a little. You’ll need the overlap to hold the mirror in place.

2. Once cut I laid my wood out and glued the sides together and stapled it a couple of times to hold it while it dried. The as an additional bit of strength I cut some scraps of thing plywood I had to cover the joints at the back and screwed them on

3. Now to add the mirror. I used some off cut mason board to put a piece at the bottom for the mirror to sit on and strips to go across the back of the mirror to hold it in place. I just stapled these down with my industrial stapler. Be careful here as your mirror may break (like mine did) if you’re too rough stapling
I knew my mirror was going in one place only so I screwed my straight to the wall but you could add some large picture hooks to the back and hang it instead.
